Sotheby’s Photographs Online Auction, held in May in Paris, brought in a combined sales total of €180,480 with the most expensive lot credited to Hiroshi Sugimoto’s Time Exposed which had an original estimate of €12,000-€18,000 and sold for €21,600. Sugimoto’s Polar Bear was the second most expensive lot at €11,400 and Candida Hofer’s BNF Paris XV was the third most expensive lot at €10,800, with both of these lots estimated to bring in between €10,000 and €15,000. Christie’s Stephen Shore: Vintage Photographs Auction was held online in May bringing in a combined total of $159,000. The highest valued lot was one of Shores most famous works: La Brea Avenue and Beverly Boulevard, Los Angeles which had an original estimate of $10,000-$15,000 and sold for $23,750. The second most expensive was U.S. 10, Post Falls, Idaho, August 25, 1974 which had an estimate of $6,000-$8,000, and realised a price of $15,000.
