Christie’s ‘MoMA: Bill Brandt’ Auction
Another instalment of Christie’s MoMA auctions takes place this week in another online-only sale of works by Bill Brandt. Christie’s explains:
This auction brings together images by influential British photographer Bill Brandt (1904–1983) that span both his important reportages as well as his bold explorations of the female nude. Most of the prints in this grouping were made on the occasion of the landmark exhibition Bill Brandt presented by the Museum in 1969, signaling the first major exhibition in the United States dedicated to the artist’s work.
There are 43 lots available in this auction, with sales estimates ranging from $2,000 to $15,000. The auction will be taking place from 16th-24th January on Christie’s platform. You can view all lots and register to bid here.
